Ollie has collaborated with Martin Joiner on several video projects. Supplying audio production skills for foley sounds, abstract noise and mood music. From the initial on-site sampling through to post production Martin can hand over ideas to Ollie and expect a high quality product back.
Who is Oliver Owen?
I have been writing, performing and producing music in some form or another since 2004.
In all my work I try to couple intricate but driving rhythms with beautiful textures and tones. I am obsessed with the relationship between the two.
My influences range from 1980s bands such as new order and Depeche Mode, to current electronica acts such as Muzik and Thom Yorke and even to cinematic scores, music for television and advertising and current popular, commercial music.
Although i have learnt an incredible amount about production through my studies in music technology, I have also learnt a great deal from working on recording and production projects outside of the college environment and see this as the way in which i will continue to improve my work.
Through collaborating with other musicians, producers and artists i have found myself writing music in many different genres and for different purposes and this is something that i am eager to continue.
